WWC65 - The Winner (and other news)

Before we get to the winners of this week's challenge, I have some good news and some bad news. Since I'm a firm believer in ripping that band-aid off quickly to reduce the pain, I'm giving you the bad news first, okay?  One of our Temporary Watercooler Artists, Leanne Johnson, won't be able to continue with us because of personal commitments.  We'll miss her creative flair and I know you will, too.

The good news?  The other three Temporary Watercooler Artists have agreed to become full-time, permanent Watercooler Artists.  So I ask you to welcome Gail Allen, Libby Fens and Deborah Smart to the "fold".   You'll be seeing a lot more of their wonderful creations.

And now, on to finding out who the winners of WWC65 are:

It's that time again, the day we pick our winners.  It's good to see so many familiar names among the link-ups coming back to join the challenges as well as one or two new ones.

An "anything goes" challenge is a difficult one for which to choose a winner.  Since there are no guidelines, the voting becomes purely subjective.  Of course sometimes a card simply "connects" with most of the people viewing it.  That's what happened this week with Kathe Deck's wonderful set of cards.  The layout, the colours, everything about Kathe's cards is simply beautiful and elegant.  Changing the "hilly" scene from the Happy Home set to a beach scene---genius!

Kathe Deck

Kathe, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

It was difficult to choose the Honourable Mentions since there were so many varying styles of cards.  When the challenge is for "anything goes" there are really no guidelines except for your "gut feeling" about a card.  There were two cards that squeaked past the rest, Fiona Whitehead's and Susie Nelson's.

Fiona and Susie, we hope you'll each proudly display the badge, shown below, on your blogs.

A special thank you as well to  Bev, Heike, Sheri, Julie, Heather and Louise for linking their wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (May 4th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.
