WWC61 - Anything Goes!

Before we get into our new challenge, it's time to say good-bye to another of our talented Watercooler Artists.  We will miss Bev's wonderful projects and inspirational challenges.  Her life has, however, become so busy, with so many demands pulling her into various directions,  that she feels it's time to take a step back.  We all know how that can be.

Bev

Bev has  been with us since the beginning of our challenge.  She will be missed.

And now to Challenge WWC61 - Anything Goes!

WooHoo!  It's time for another "Anything Goes" challenge.  This is a great time to showcase one of the cards you haven't posted yet.  Something you created for a class or for someone close to you.  A little 3-D project you've made.  Even a card you've made for another challenge.  Of course, when you see the wonderful cards created by our Watercooler Artists, you may be inspired to make a brand new card for this challenge.  As we said, anything goes.

What is Anything Goes?  It is simply a project which you have created and wish to share.  There are no restrictions or rules.  That's what this week's challenge is all about.  Enjoy sharing your wonderful creations.  We look forward to the surprises.  Here are a few projects created by the Watercooler Artists in the order in which they were submitted.  Fittingly, since this is her last challenge as one of the Watercooler Artists, Bev's lovely 3-D creation leads the way:

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.  Please note that this challenge will extend over two weeks to allow time to enjoy the holidays.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Please use the link-up below to share your project.  This Linky will close on Monday, April 4th at noon Mountain Standard Time.

WWC60 - The Winner

It's that time again, the day we pick our winners.  It's good to see so many familiar names among the link-ups coming back to join the challenges.  CAS challenges have a few more rules but it's great to see so many participating.  We had some excellent examples of clean and simple from which to choose.

As difficult as it is to have such a great selection from which to pick our winners, in the end it was Betty Lee's card that stole the show.  Betty kept her card beautifully simple.  The clean lines and layout were a perfect example of "clean and simple".   Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Betty.

Betty, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

It was difficult to choose our Honourable Mentions since there was such a variety of styles to choose from.  When the challenge is for "clean and simple", you always have to keep those parameters in mind.  The two cards that squeaked past the rest were Kathe Deck's and Heather Heroldt's.

Kathe and Heather, we hope you'll each proudly display the badge, shown below, on your blogs.

A special thank you as well to Heather, Jayme, Heike and Sheri for linking their wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (March 30th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC60 - Marsha's CAS Birthday Challenge

It's time for another CAS (clean and simple) challenge and this time Marsha Reed is challenging us to make it all about birthdays in a clean and simple project.  What is clean and simple?  According to the challenges which host only CAS (clean and simple), this is what one aims to do:  CAS (acronym for "clean and simple":  A design of card with clean lines, minimal elements, areas of white space and few or no embellishments, most often single layered or minimal layers.

Just so we're clear on the "white space".  This can be any colour.  For example, Kath has used a coloured base and then added white embossing and a white banner.  For this card, the colour is the "white space" and the simplicity of Kath's design is clearly CAS.  As usual, you can click on the name under the card to go to the blog post and discover all the details about the products and creation of the card.  Let's begin with Marsha's elegant birthday card.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.  Please note that this challenge will extend over two weeks to allow time to enjoy the holidays.

WWC59 - No Winner this week!

Unfortunately our green colour challenge only had two entries:  Heather Hopson and Betty Lee.  They're both excellent cards which meet the challenge beautifully.  While we aren't choosing a winner this week, we congratulate Heather and Betty on their lovely creations.  Well done, ladies!

The cards are posted in order of their link dates.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (March 23rd) for the new Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC59 - Bev's Color Challenge in Green

It's wearin' of the green this week at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  So fitting since St. Patrick's Day is the day after our challenge starts.  Bev has given us many shades of green to work with in her color challenge.  So, have some fun and show us your green!

WWC58 - No Winner this week!

Unfortunately the Reflection Technique has no winner.  We had two linked up cards which belong to Heather Hopson and Heather Heroldt.  Both of their cards are great examples of the Reflection Technique.  We're so pleased you gave this technique a try and look forward to seeing you again at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (March 16th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC58 - Gail's Reflection Technique Challenge

Welcome to the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge!  Heidi, our wonderful challenge leader, is off on holiday and she asked me (Marsha) to fill in for her.  I can only say that I have a much better appreciation for all the work she does for our weekly challenges.

This week it's time for a technique challenge and Gail Allen has chosen the Reflection Technique.  It's a great technique and there are so many possibilities.

Don't you love the gorgeous picture Gail shared?  Wait until you see the wonderful cards created by our Watercooler Artists showcasing their own interpretations of this technique.  So, give it a try and link up your creation.  For details on how Gail and the other Watercooler Artists created their projects, just click on the name underneath each project and you will be taken to that blog post.

WWC57 - The Winner

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  It's good to see so many familiar names among the link-ups coming back to join the challenges.  Sketch challenges are fun and draw a lot of participation.  We had some fabulous cards from which to choose.  That's great for the challenge but really tough on the team as we go to pick winners.

As difficult as it is to have such a great selection from which to pick our winners, in the end it was Jayme Ziemer's card that stole the show.  Jayme not only used the sketch beautifully but also showed us how Paper Pumpkin Kits can be so versatile.  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Jayme.

Jayme, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

It was difficult to choose our Honourable Mentions since there were such great cards to choose from this week.   The two cards that squeaked past the rest were Susie Nelson's and Betty Lee's.

Susie and Betty, we hope you'll each proudly display the badge, shown below, on your blogs.

And, a special thank you as well to Sheri and Heather for linking their wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (March 9th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.
