Meet the Permanent Watercooler Artists
HEIDI WEAVER (Coordinator)
I live in Blackfalds, Alberta, a transplant from British Columbia where I grew up. A relative newcomer to stamping, I have been enjoying sketching and crafts for most of my life. I am deeply interested in photography, family, helping animal shelters, and helping the underprivileged. I keep busy catering to my two rescued cats, Mei Li and Khali Kho, as well as enjoying activities with my two awesome grandsons. My daughter and family live in Blackfalds as well, making it easy to have frequent family get-togethers.
MARSHA REED (Assistant Coordinator)
I’m the mother of three handsome sons and grandmother to eleven beautiful grandchildren I discovered card making when a friend dragged me, under protest, to a Stampin’ Up! party. It was love at first card for me. While I've enjoyed many crafts over the years, none has caught my attention like papercrafting. When I’m not in my studio, I enjoy reading, writing, sewing, watching movies and spending time with my family and friends.
Shortly after my move to Oregon 8 years ago I got interested in rubber stamping. In 2006, I joined a local stamping group and started to learn all I could about this wonderful craft. I became a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator in 2007. I’m a 50 something widowed artist creating and living in the rural areas of Southern Oregon. I am also a spinner and weaver among other fiber arts and other crafting genres. I also like to cook, collect folk art, dabble with computers and way too many other things. Your basic baby boomer still in search of herself and wondering what she’ll be when she grows up.
I live in Salem, Utah. I have been married to my husband Mike for 31 years and have 3 daughters and 2 sons as well as 2 granddaughters. I have been scrapbooking for 29 years and making cards for 10. I first started stamping with Stampin’ Up! in 2003 and became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in early 2007. I hold weekly classes and monthly clubs in my home. I find papercrafting relaxing and enjoy stamping with friends.
I’ve done many crafts through out my life: knitting, crochet, needlepoint and cross stitch. One thing I’ve always wished was that I was an artist and could draw and paint. Then I discovered stamping and Stampin’ Up and I was hooked! Since I was a kid I’ve loved playing with paper (paper dolls anyone?) and at my first newspaper job when I learned how to design ads and whole pages of the paper, it was all done then by ‘cut & paste’ – yes, I’m dating myself – I loved it. Other things I enjoy include reading, dogs and cats (well, all animals), and photography.
I am a long time crafter from Pearland, Texas. I've been a Stampin' Up demonstrator since 2007. I love to share my creativity through my monthly Card Buffet style classes and my personal blog, libbystamps.wordpress.com. I enjoy creating crafty things for my family, friends and coworkers. I have been married for 25 plus years, have two daughters, a cockatiel, and a few years ago became a cat parent for the first time.
I've been married to my child hood sweetheart for 48 years, a wonderful man who’s always supported me in my hobbies and crafts and encourages me to attend events and participate in what my heart desires. He’s a total enabler! As a result I’ve spent countless hours learning to knit, crochet, macramé, and I took particular delight in mastering needlework. It’s funny, though I acquired a love of paper, type and ink at a very young age, helping my dad who was a printer set type for his old hand press, it wasn’t until 2006 that I discovered my love and passion for paper crafting and stamping. While attending my first Stampin’ Up!® event and making a card, I was instantly captivated, and actually signed up to be a demonstrator that night. Since then my love for stamping and paper crafting as a whole has continued to grow and blossom into so much more than I originally anticipated. I love teaching stamping techniques, maintaining a stamping blog and participating in paper crafting challenges and would encourage anyone who is looking for a fulfilling craft to try it out.
Meet the Temporary Watercooler Artists
I have lived in Vernon, British Columbia for 16 years and am in my Seventies. In 2003 I met my husband to be and we married in 2004.
I used to have several hobbies, (sewing, ceramics, needlework, working with paper), but now I am hooked on Cardmaking. My sister inspired me so much with her passion of making beautiful cards with the Stampin Up products. I became a follower and have learned many techniques and tutorials from her. I love the results, especially when you bring Joy to someone who has opened your card and recognizes the Love you had making it.
When I am not cardmaking I enjoy skiing, hiking, rockhounding, geo-caching, dancing, and gardening. I volunteer at Red Cross on Tuesday’s and love to help people whenever I can. We have a Senior Cat named Jellicoe, who is a pleasure to us everyday.
